Street Prayer Requests 5.30.14

Wow! You guys killed it Friday night! There are so many new people you met that we’re able to pray for now. And shout out to Todd for leading your acquaintance to Christ!! One more in the forever family woop woop! How many do you think would make a decision for Christ if we all united on that one front? Lets pray for all their needs and asks, but be especially united in praying for salvations to occur all over the streets Friday nights as they encounter the love of Jesus through us.

Here’s who we’re praying for this week:

We met an older Latino man and were able to give him a bag of food and water.

Araceli asked for some information about our church and we were able to give her a bag of food and water.

An asian man wearing sunglasses and a hat was happy to get some skittles we had available.

Bella was thankful for the backpack, hygiene items and bag of food we gave her. She asked us to pray for protection and that God would heal her cousin who just got hit by a car.

Daniel and Jacob were happy to get some candy.

Eloy asked us to pray for his heart and was grateful for the bag of food and water we gave him.

Mr. Mason told us he’s empathic.

A woman with lots of makeup came by and was happy to receive a bag of food and some water.

Naisha asked us to pray for healing for her family and for her mental illness. She also asked that we pray for provision for housing. We gave her info about Oasis and a bag of food.

Alberto didn’t speak much English, but was able to tell us that he just lost his job. He asked that we pray he gets a new job.

We saw Mike and he told us some jokes. He was thankful to receive the bag of food and water we gave him.

We gave Brandon a bag of food which he was happy to receive.

Bob was wearing a white sun hat and was happy to receive the bag of food we gave him.

Rocko was excited about coffee and asked if there was a Starbucks nearby.

Nan asked us to continue praying for him to get section 8 housing. We were able to give him a bag of food as well.

Kyle was thankful for the candy and bag of food we have available for him.

Two young kids were happy to get some of the candy we had available.

Chief came by to the table and was grateful for the bag of food we gave him.

We met Steven tonight. He asked us to pray for his mom and for peace in his heart. His mom is sick and he lives with her, but he is out to give her some space. He cried during the prayer. We gave him a card for the church and invited him to come to CR.

Brooklyn and Mike were receptive, but intoxicated like last week. They asked that we keep them in our prayers this week.

Johnny had a rad canvas with a guitar on it! He asked us to keep him in our prayers this week.

Luke is from Boston and shared that he’s going to Bakersfield for an awesome job.

Roberto only spoke Spanish and was digging for recyclables. He asked us to pray for a job to come his way.

Todd ran into an acquaintance, Micky, tonight and she decided to give her life to Jesus!!! It sparked a new life in her and we are hoping to see her at church soon!

River, Four, and Mike were hanging together. Four thanked us for the bag of food we were able to give him.

We met two ladies tonight and gave them treasure bags that made them so happy. They told us that they have been to Oasis before, but need to go back. Todd gave them our card with the service times on it.

The group of teen boys that used to snatch candy and run off came by the table. They called out to Flo and came and gave her hugs.

Jose asked us to pray for his whole family, especially his children.

Devin is from Kansas and is stranded out here. He was thankful for the bag of food and water we gave him. He asked us to pray for him to be reunited with his brother.

Jake is doing well and asked us to pray for his friend George who got kicked out of his apartment. George is having a difficult time. Jake also asked us to continue praying for a place for him to live,  that he gets more paints, that he’ll finish his work, and that we keep the whole Hollywood & Highland area in our prayers this week.
Florida was sitting on the ground at Sunset & Vine and was very sad because his wife is in the hospital. He asked us to pray for her health and was so thankful to get a bag of food.

Edward was on corner of Cahuenga watching CNN. He asked that we pray for a smarter President and was happy to receive a bag of food from us.

John was a bit incoherent, but still thankful for the bag of food we gave him. He wants to own his own business and asked that we pray for that. He wants to own a meth lab.

Met John, a young man that looed to be about 20, and Johnny, an older man that looked to be about 35 and was wearing a suit. Johnny is a painter and both John and Johnny were thankful to receive bags of food.
