Homeless Outreach Prayer Requests 08.09.13

The Homeless Outreach Team was so excited to get back on the street this Friday after a week spent preparing our new church home! What an incredible building we’ve been graced with and what an honor it is to partner with God and watch Him expand His reach through these doors!

Our next Open Outreach Opportunity is Friday, September 6th! Join us at the new building and find out if you’d like to join the team this coming Connect Group Season. We’d love to watch God work through you! Click Here to RSVP!

Matthew 20:28 (NIRV)

28 “Be like the Son of Man. He did not come to be served. Instead, he came to serve others. He came to give his life as the price for setting many people free.”

– Please pray for Chris who is tortured by the death of his mother. His last words to her were that he hoped she died and he is unable to forgive himself.

– Our friend Jake is such an inspriation and encouragement. He said that since we’ve been visiting him he feels so much hope and can see a difference on the street. Where people used to look down on him, he now feels them praying for him.

– Please pray for Will who asked for discernment in recognizing what is God and what is not. He loves Jesus, but feels very confused.

– Will asked us to pray that he finds a girlfriend. God, guide Him in a way that honors you and brings love into his life.

– Nick, Chad and Donna were very high when we met them. They asked us to pray for their well being and for comfort after their pet rat died earlier in the day. They were very thankful for socks and that we listened and prayed for them.

– Johnny asked us to pray for his cancer, for housing and that his social security checks come in.

– RaRa asked us to pray for healing of her ovarian cancer and that she is forgiven a $2200 tax debt. Please also pray for her husband, Tony.

– Candy and her boyfriend, Shangry, came to the table with their cat and received clothes. They were reluctantly to pray at first, but thanked us for the peace it brought them and that we weren’t like the “other people screaming Bible verses on the corner.”

– Brandon and Elizabeth: Please pray for her pregnancy, protect that baby and give them shelter.

– Charles, Rome, Eric and Cash were all very thankful for the food we gave them and, as always, were happy to see us. Please pray for their interest in God to continue growing.

– Johnny asked us to pray for well being and love to fill his heart.

– Jose & Maggie stopped us to ask about our church and were excited to hear about the new building and receive a card. Please pray we see them at a worship experience soon!

– Larry asked us to pray for his protection and that he gets a new guitar. His friend Doug broke it and he forgives him, but misses his guitar.

– Please pray for the man asleep next to Chase bank. We left him a bag of food, but pray for his warmth and safety.

– Justin (black hat) came to the table to grab food for his girlfriend and friends who knew we’d be there and thanked us for being so present on the street.

– Justin (red hat) He just got here from Vegas and has lost his ID, which is making his job search difficult. Please pray he can replace it soon and find work.

– Matt stopped us to thank us for praying with him in the past and feels God walking with him!

– Please pray for Johnny and CJ who run by the table and swipe items. Please pray that the Spirit opens their hearts and stops them to chat with us so they know what we have is theirs and they don’t nee to “steal”.

– Please pray for Sean who we prayed with to come to a Sunday service and to find a job this week.

– Eden, who stops by every week while selling her light up toys, was excited to show us her new hair cut! Please pray she has immense joy this week.
