Street Prayers 1.10.14

Hello again, everyone!

I really can’t express enough how much your continued prayers mean to our team and for the people that we come in contact with each week. Your prayers and support are two BIG reasons why we are able to do this each week.

Our team came in contact with about 45 people this past Friday night. Please take a look into some of their stories below and join us in praying for them.

Matthew 18:19

“Again, I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.”

-Our team met Wyatt from Colorado. He didn’t want any food but was happy to chat. He shared that he was having a really good day.

-Daniel looked quite dapper in his suit and was happy to receive some food.

-Joshua was thankful for the food.

-“Scoobydoo” was eating some food that was being served down the street and so he didn’t want any food.

-Marcell also didn’t want any food but was happy to chat and told us that everything is going well.

-Anthony seemed a bit out of sorts and didn’t want any food.

-Patrick was grateful for the toothbrush because he hasn’t been able to brush his teeth in about a week. He said that he is expecting some money from his dad.

-A gentleman whom our team came in contact with last week received some food. Please pray for safety and for Jesus to work in his heart and in his life.

-Rick asked for general prayers throughout the week.

-William Baxter was waiting for the bus to take him to work. Our team gave him some water and chatted with him. He is from the Philippines. He has seen us before and was thankful for what we do.

-“Four” stopped us and asked for water.

-Achilles was asking for money but was thankful for the food we gave him.

-Justin accepted a bag of food and asked for mostly general prayer and especially for “favor with the ladies.”

-Amy was thankful for the food and at first seemed reluctant to speak with us. She warmed up to us as we spoke to Gabriel and Larry.

-Larry received a bag and offered to pray for us!

-Gabriel is in a wheelchair and recently left a convalescent home and is now on the streets. He is waiting for his SSI but has no way to go and see his lawyer. Please pray for a way for him to get to his lawyer so that he can get the money that he is due and so he can get off the streets. Please also pray healing in his body and for him to be able to stay warm even on the cold nights. He has metal rods in his legs and so the cold is very painful for him.

-Darren and Will both received some food and Darren told us that he has been attending a local church. Will was very withdrawn but graciously took the food.

-Our team left a bag of food for a gentleman sleeping on some stairs.

-Jaguar, Skywalker, and their two cats were playing guitar on the corner. They accepted some food and asked for general prayers.

-A gentleman stopped and was really excited to talk to our team. We didn’t catch his name and he didn’t want any food but he was really friendly!

-Anthony was really excited for the socks.

-Joe was playing an awesome guitar with pink strings. Our team prayed for protection from the enemy, for health, romance, and success (emphasis on the romance). We gave him a Bible and referred him to Psalm 91.

-Our team stopped Will and asked him if he wanted some food. At first he declined and then raced back up to us and asked what we had. He graciously took some food and was happy to chat.

-Noah is from France and was really thankful for the food we gave him. He encouraged us to not lose our faith!

-Lloyd and Arden were thankful for the food.

-Amber asked for prayer for everyone’s safety.

-A very quiet gentleman took some snacks.

-Cheko was thankful for the socks and asked us to just keep him in our prayers.

-Spike was thankful for the food and the blanket.

– Gio received a bag and asked for prayer for his dying mother.

-Mike was happy to receive a bag.

-Maria is in her 70’s and is struggling to pay her rent. She can’t get a job because of her age and that she is not a citizen. Our team gave her some food and the list of food banks in the area.

-Baby and her dog Buddy were thankful for the food. She asked for general prayers and specifically for her husband who is in jail.
