Prayer Requests:

We met pastor Bruce and Heather. They’ve been to 5 different cities since December when Bruce sold his house. They’re originally from Mississippi and now they move around the country sharing the gospel by making beautiful painted rocks that have scriptures painted on the underside. Heather is the artist. She was so excited about the Milky Way bites she got in her bag of food. She’s has two children that are not living with her anymore because of sexual abuse they experienced at the hands of a relative. Bruce was thankful for the water and bag of food we gave him. The next city they’re headed to is Long Beach, where their pastor is, and then it’s on to Vegas.

Phil wants to take classes on religion and has a daughter he would like to see.

Scott would like prayer for health.

Chris would like a job. He was laid off a few months ago from his job as a mechanic.

Lewis seemed really down. He recently became homeless and had a sign out and a suitcase with him.

Torris is in a wheelchair. He wants prayer for health and safety.

Kevin wants prayer for protection of him and his girlfriend. He said that the police are after him and that he wants to be safe. He also believes that somebody placed a satanic curse on him so he asked for prayer for that. He said that he has PTSD and is suicidal. We prayed for him and let him know about Celebrate Recovery. He said that he’ll attend. Pray that he does come to CR.

Joe asked us to pray for protection and for him to get property in Hawaii that is paid for and rent free.

Mr. Kay plays a mime outside the wax museum on Hollywood blvd. He asked us for general prayer and that he would be blessed financially. We gave him a bag of food.

Dave was pushing our friend Eddie around in his wheelchair. He volunteers with an organization that gives out clothes and food and he offered to push Eddie around.

Eddie was in a good mood tonight! It was nice to see him smiling and that he’s got a buddy to push him around.

We met a man who was lying in the doorway. He did not want to talk, but he did let us give him a bag of food. He was excited to receive it and sat up right away to eat.

Moses took some snacks. Moses was sitting with a lady and a guy.

Angel loved the blanket we gave him, but declined food because he’s getting food stamps. He’s been sober awhile, but he announced that he was drinking tonight. He was in a very good mood and had some company. Angel was sitting with a young man named Calvin.

Calvin declined prayer because he’s a Rastafarian, but he did join in as we prayed for Angel. Calvin declined food as well because he’s staying in a shelter downtown and they feed him there. He was all smiles as we left.

Conway was a very funny man. He wanted us to pray that he’ll win the lotto. With his winnings he wants to start his own computer code writing business. He was sitting with Stevo.

Stevo arrived in town recently via train. He is a “train jumper” by self-description. He asked for prayer for his back which has been hurting. He was really excited and thankful to get socks and water.

Betsy said hi as we passed, but didn’t want food or water. She said that she had to go because she was meeting someone.

Neil was grateful for the bag of food.

Alyssa wanted prayer for her health.

Derrick wanted prayer for provision and safety. We gave him a bag of food and prayed with him.

Peter was impressed with the big bag of food we gave him and had us pray with him for health and wealth.

Our friend Gabriel who’s always so eager to pray, had us pray for health, peace, and love. He has a friend named Lindsay who is in the crisis unit of a hospital in Maine who we also prayed for.

Joe, who was wearing a green jaguar costume, asked us to pray with him for provision and protection from the scientologists.

We met Jenna, Chris, Tyler, and their dog echo tonight. Chris has a broken leg and asked for prayers of healing.
