Street Prayer Requests 3.14.14

From all the text messages I received I can tell it was a great night out there! It’s such an honor that the people we meet allow us to get to know them isn’t it!? They don’t have to, but so many choose to let us in. They let us in on their pasts, their hurts, thier joys, their current struggles, their talents, and so much more. Let’s continue thanking God for all those he created and continue lifting their needs up to Him.

We prayed for Dawn, Ronnie and Robert. They wanted protection, health, and provision. Ronnie just lost his mother so we prayed for him to receive strength during this difficult time.

Larry asked us to pray for all the men and women of God and that God would guide them.

Deric got a job! He asked us to pray for favor at the new job and also for God to open doors so that all his homeless friends can get jobs too.

Scott told us that he’s a non believer, but still let us pray for him! He asked us to pray that his writing abilities improve.

Angela, a single mother, believes that God does not like her. We prayed for her to have open doors of opportunity concerning her artistic path. Also, for her to have provision and be reunited with her children which are living in a shelter in Sacramento.

Walter Baxter and his awesome orange cat are trying to move up north to Cambria. A man is featuring them in a documentary and they are hoping to get a ride from him. He asked us to pray for safe travels.

Shai and Tye did not want prayer, but Shai was thankful for the socks and Tye for the bag of food we gave them.

Mike was in a hurry to get somewhere so he quickly took a bag of food and headed out. We didn’t get to pray for him.

Guido was excited to see us! He also remembered that there is a free meal every Thursday night at Celebrate Recovery. He asked us to pray for his freedom from homelessness.

George isn’t homeless, but happened to walk past and saw some M&M’s set out on the table. He didn’t want prayer for anything, but was super excited about the free candy.

We came upon someone sleeping. We left them a bag of food for when they wake up.

David wasn’t interested in food or prayer.

Paul asked us to pray that he will be a vehicle for Gods will.

Mark was drunk and incoherent.

Dicarlo told us that it is great that we do this and asked us to send love his way and keep him in our prayers.

Therious asked us to pray for prosperity.

James asked us to pray for his mom. It was her birthday and he specifically wanted us to pray for her health and safety.

Kevin asked us to pray for safety and clarity. He said he is on assignment from the FBI and that this is his last mission before he goes on to be the president of MGM Universal.

Randy was so thankful for the snacks we gave him and asked us to pray for his head cold. We also prayed for his continued joy in Christ.

Weyburn was thankful for the food and the additional bag of food we gave him for his girlfriend.

Natasha was very excited to see us again. She asked that we pray for her living situation as she is currently couch surfing with friends. She is slowly starting to work again after years of not having a job!

Dr. Geek wanted prayer for his weight, his friend who passed away this past week, and for his rhymes to be tight so he’ll make money from them.

Solo had just gotten jumped and was bleeding everywhere. He took some first aid stuff and socks then ran off.

Kevin, who is very large and owns a lot of luggage, asked us for general prayer.

Talked to Mike again on Cahuenga. He was in a really good mood and he is no longer sick! He asked us to pray for special favor, as he is about to lose his place.

Jake asked us to pray for him. He said that he feels that he is getting closer to God’s blessing. He let us know that he has a positive outlook as he is going through trials and tribulations.

We left a bag of food for a man sleeping in a blue sleeping bag.

Twist did not want any prayer, but did take a bag of food.

Destiny asked us to pray for peace, security, and strength. As we prayed for her she began to cry.

John came by the table and asked for some food. He did not want any prayer tonight.

Brie is a teenager. She’s got short red hair, piercings in her eyebrow and nose and has grey eyes. She was thankful for the water and bag of food we gave her. She asked us to pray that she stays sober, continues attening her AA meetings, that she stays safe and keeps her faith.

Frank is an african american man. He was listening to headphones and wearing a grey shirt. He looked to be around 20 years old. He asked us to pray for him to find a shelter, to feel safe, to have faith and a positive outlook on life. for protection, provision, housing, food, water, and love. We gave him contact information and invited him to Oasis.

Johnny looks to be in his late 20’s and he’s got a large green hiking backpack. He did not ask for prayer because he had prayed earlier in the day for food and we, and the bag of food we gave him, were his answer!

Earl is a white man. He looks to be in his 50’s. We gave him a bag of food and he asked us to pray that he keeps his sanity in his situation.

Hamilton is a white man who owns a guitar. We gave him some water.

Guy was wearing a green shirt and was with Andy and our friend Eddie who is in a wheelchair. They did not want any prayer or food.

Anthony Robertson is an african american man that looks to be in his 60’s. He was wearing a straw hat and was dragging a chair with him. He did not want any prayer because he said that his prayers had been answered by us giving him the feather boa.

Luis is a hispanic man that looks to be in his 20’s. He has two big black suitcases with him. He asked us to pray for him to find a job and shelter.
