Homeless Outreach Prayer Requests 09.06.13

What an incredible week the Homeless Outreach Team had with nearly 30 people after the heart of Jesus! You, too, can join us every First Friday of the month to be a part of what Jesus is doing in Hollywood. RSVP for October 4th!

We are continuously thankful for the doors God has opened in allowing us to serve the people of Hollywood. The humbling that comes with being allowed into peoples lives for a moment and the honor that it is to pray for them is so huge. Below are the prayer requests of those we met and who would love it if you could be praying for them throughout the week. Thank you for how you love, Oasis!

Colossians 3:17

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

– We hadn’t seen our friends Richard & Donna in a few weeks and had been concerned for them. This week we saw Donna and she was in shock. She shared with us that Richard had died after an attacker broke into their hotel room. Both in their 60s and in failing health, they were unable to defend themselves and Richard did not recover. Donna has not left the bus stop bench in nearly a week now. She is dismissive of all help and hurting. Please pray for her heart, that hse can find hope and comfort in the Lord. Please help her to come through this pain and agree to shelter. Richard had accepted Christ on the street and in the last few time we had seen him he was full of praise.

– Our friend Jose was feeling so much better this week and thanked us for loving him through his hurts. He asked us to pray for his friend Cesar in NYC and for the job opportunity has has coming up if he cn get better at writing English (he’s a native Spanish speaker).

One of his friends has blessed him with a place to stay and was able to get on food stamps. Please pray he continues to progress and stays encouraged.

– It’s such a joy seeing our friend Mike every Friday. He asked that we pray for more hope to invade his life. God, thank you for the love this man has for those in the same situation as him.
