Street Prayer Requests 3/07/14

Prayer Requests:

We met pastor Bruce and Heather. They’ve been to 5 different cities since December when Bruce sold his house. They’re originally from Mississippi and now they move around the country sharing the gospel by making beautiful painted rocks that have scriptures painted on the underside. Heather is the artist. She was so excited about the Milky Way bites she got in her bag of food. She’s has two children that are not living with her anymore because of sexual abuse they experienced at the hands of a relative. Bruce was thankful for the water and bag of food we gave him. The next city they’re headed to is Long Beach, where their pastor is, and then it’s on to Vegas.

Phil wants to take classes on religion and has a daughter he would like to see.

Scott would like prayer for health.

Chris would like a job. He was laid off a few months ago from his job as a mechanic.

Lewis seemed really down. He recently became homeless and had a sign out and a suitcase with him.

Torris is in a wheelchair. He wants prayer for health and safety.

Kevin wants prayer for protection of him and his girlfriend. He said that the police are after him and that he wants to be safe. He also believes that somebody placed a satanic curse on him so he asked for prayer for that. He said that he has PTSD and is suicidal. We prayed for him and let him know about Celebrate Recovery. He said that he’ll attend. Pray that he does come to CR.

Joe asked us to pray for protection and for him to get property in Hawaii that is paid for and rent free.

Mr. Kay plays a mime outside the wax museum on Hollywood blvd. He asked us for general prayer and that he would be blessed financially. We gave him a bag of food.

Dave was pushing our friend Eddie around in his wheelchair. He volunteers with an organization that gives out clothes and food and he offered to push Eddie around.

Eddie was in a good mood tonight! It was nice to see him smiling and that he’s got a buddy to push him around.

We met a man who was lying in the doorway. He did not want to talk, but he did let us give him a bag of food. He was excited to receive it and sat up right away to eat.

Moses took some snacks. Moses was sitting with a lady and a guy.

Angel loved the blanket we gave him, but declined food because he’s getting food stamps. He’s been sober awhile, but he announced that he was drinking tonight. He was in a very good mood and had some company. Angel was sitting with a young man named Calvin.

Calvin declined prayer because he’s a Rastafarian, but he did join in as we prayed for Angel. Calvin declined food as well because he’s staying in a shelter downtown and they feed him there. He was all smiles as we left.

Conway was a very funny man. He wanted us to pray that he’ll win the lotto. With his winnings he wants to start his own computer code writing business. He was sitting with Stevo.

Stevo arrived in town recently via train. He is a “train jumper” by self-description. He asked for prayer for his back which has been hurting. He was really excited and thankful to get socks and water.

Betsy said hi as we passed, but didn’t want food or water. She said that she had to go because she was meeting someone.

Neil was grateful for the bag of food.

Alyssa wanted prayer for her health.

Derrick wanted prayer for provision and safety. We gave him a bag of food and prayed with him.

Peter was impressed with the big bag of food we gave him and had us pray with him for health and wealth.

Our friend Gabriel who’s always so eager to pray, had us pray for health, peace, and love. He has a friend named Lindsay who is in the crisis unit of a hospital in Maine who we also prayed for.

Joe, who was wearing a green jaguar costume, asked us to pray with him for provision and protection from the scientologists.

We met Jenna, Chris, Tyler, and their dog echo tonight. Chris has a broken leg and asked for prayers of healing.

 

Street Prayer Requests 2.28.14

We were small in numbers this week, but mighty in love! Let’s keep the love of God spreading to everyone we met by lifting them up in our prayers daily. It had to have been a hard week dealing with both the rain and the Oscars back-to-back. Let’s pray for an extra dose of comfort, and that they find rest, and peace in knowing they are loved by an amazing God. Let’s stand on this scripture as we interceed for them.

Isaiah 32:18

My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.

Met Jason who wants prayer for shelter and provision.

Met Cecil. She wants prayer for shelter and safety.

Met Jason and Dro who are traveling together. They were so happy and grateful to receive socks and food.

Met James who wants direction from God and shelter.

Met Kim, who is not homeless, but is having surgery next week. Her parents are coming in from Kansas to support her. She took some socks, a scarf, a hat, and let us pray with her.

Met David while he was waiting for the bus. He mentioned that he knew Vicky, one of our team members, when we approached him. David took a bag of food and asked for general prayer.

Met another David tonight. He was wearing an orange rain coat and wanted prayer for this weekend. He took some Milky Way bites.

Seth and Gia came by the table at Sunset and Vine and took some food and water. They didn’t want prayer, but let’s pray for them anyway because they are loved.

Met Simon who wanted to have a theological discussion. We  gave him a bag of food.

Met a large group of five, including Crow, who we haven’t seen in a long time. None of them wanted prayer, but we were able to give them all bags of food.

Met a man in a wheelchair who only has one leg. he didn’t want prayer for anything, but we were able to give him a bag of food.

Met Lumpy. He wanted prayer for peace. He was grateful for the bag of food and socks we gave him.

Met Derrick who’s been selling umbrellas on the blvd.

Met Jeff. His Dad recently died and he wants prayer for both him and his Mom.

Saw Colombo tonight. His wife Gloria was murdered. He wants prayer to be able to give it to God and also to be comfor

Joan is fresh out of prison. He took a food bag and we prayed for him.

Shasta collects mineral rocks. He took a food bag.

Richard took a food bag.

Allan took some snacks and we prayed for him.

Z took a bag of snacks.

Met Sabrina and Snowflake. She lost everything and is looking for a home. She was very grateful for resources and asked for prayer for financial provision.

Met Jessie who was also grateful for resources and asked for financial prayers.

Saw Jose. Grateful for resources and wanted prayer for his family in Peru.

Met Paul and gave him socks. He prayed us out so he could finish his joint.

Met Jake who was lonely. We stayed with him awhile. He wanted prayer for peace, love, and miracles.

April asked for prayer for health, wisdom on dropping her class, health for mom who has breast cancer and just had treatment, and also for her grandmother who is not well and in a nursing home. She took some valentine’s candy.

A woman and man took valentine’s packs.

James and Twist declined prayer, but took some snacks.

Arthur took a hat and scarf and prayed with us for world peace.

Joan asked about Oasis and how to get involved. She took some snacks.

Clindale Howard jr. wanted prayer for everything.

Mark a security guard took interest in what we were doing and spoke with us.

Our friend Jose took a blanket.

Girl in jeans and jean jacket took valentine’s pack and asked for prayer for the poor.

Alex took some candy and chocolates. He called himself Russian.

Man in black took candy.

Met Ethan and Bridget. Bridget asked for prayer for her father Bill who just had heart surgery.

Eva took food and water, but decllined prayer. Asked for info to get involved at Oasis.

Larry wanted prayer for work and for Johnny.

Boom box took snacks, but no prayer.

Met Gabriel. Sweet joyful man. Fellow believer. We prayed with him to to get off the streets. He thanked us then blessed us.

Met Draven (short for dark raven which is the name his indian grandfather gave him) Didn’t want prayer. Said it doesn’t work. He took a food bag though.

Gave Jamie a food bag, but he didn’t want prayer. He came to LA for his nails and asked if they look nice.

Met Aaron Raymond from New England. He’s got two kids back in Maryland. One is 16. He’s trying to get jobs at guitar manufacturing warehouses or music stores. Needs a job.

Saw Lexi. She’s excited about going to Mardi Gras with boyfriend boom box. Have her food bags and sweethearts for both her and boom box.

Street Prayer Requests 2.7.14

Hey family! Every night we go out I am reminded how great the need is and how crucial it is for us to continuously pray for all those we meet. Lets join together and lift up all these prayers! 

1 John 5:14-15 ” And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will us what we ask for. “

 

Danielle Steele wanted prayer for peace and took a food bag.

Brian from Colorado didn’t want any prayers, but took a food bag. He knew of Oasis and may come Thursday night or Sunday. 

Derek wanted prayers to no longer be homeless. He has been selling toys and feels like he won’t be homeless much longer. Wanted socks, but we were out. He prayed for us that we would be able to continue helping people.

Andrew has AIDS and asked us to pray once we left. He took a food bag.

Constance took a food bag and a blanket.

Joshua was on his way to Spokane when he was robbed at a bus stop. He took a food bag and received prayer.

Derek took a food bag and asked for prayer later.

Gabriel took a food bag and asked for prayer. We prayed for his mom.

Sheeva Swami took a food bag. It seemed like there was something dark going on spiritually within him.

Justin at Wilcox and Hollywood took a food bag and blanket, and declined prayer.

Lee at Hollywood and Iver asked for general prayer. We prayed for safety, health and provision and gave him a food bag.

Gave a bag to a guy sleeping at Hollywood and Vine.

Met Joshua while talking to Pat and John. He used to be a Christian, but now is a Buddhist. He thanked us for passing out food.

Pat gave us the scripture Isaiah 58:7-8, 14

Javier took a bag of food.

Cat and Steveo took bags of food. They asked for prayers to get to New Orleans.

Kenny at Hollywood and Highland took a food bag.

Jose on Sunset and Labrea took a food bag and spoke with Ruth in Spanish. Ruth prayed for his mom and he wanted prayer for other people.

Met another Jose sitting by the Chase parking lot. He is from Peru. He took a food bag and we prayed for his mom and family.

Daniel by Katsuya had a gash on his forehead. He seemed nervous but was very nice. He took food and prayer. We thankful for the food.

Mike took a food bag and wanted prayer for health and happiness.

Gave man who was sleeping on the Chase steps a bag of food.

Gave man who was sleeping on the steps of the post office a bag of food.

Johnny and JH took a food bag each, and wanted prayer to get back on their feet.

Howard took a food bag and asked for prayer for people to recognize the immigrant community in Los Angeles.

Arien and John have been homeless for two weeks. We gave them food bags and prayed for provision.

Elizabeth took a food bag and wanted prayer for peace on earth and that her Italian does not go to hell.

Robert and Erin, coming from the dessert,took bags. Robert asked for a Bible.

Giovanni took some candy.

Mackenzie is from Colorado and is a professional rider. Wanted prayer for him to get paid, and he took a food bag.

Alex took a bar.

Anthony took a box of food, but did not want food.

Ricardo took a box of food and water bottle. He didn’t want prayer.

Therese, Ruby and Rose are from Australia. They wanted prayer to get back there. Rose has a birthday coming up so she wants prayer that she will enjoy her birthday. They all took food and water.

Eduardo took a Bible, a food bag and water. We invited him to church. He didn’t want prayer for anything.

Clay took a food bag and water. Wanted prayer that he finds a job, possibly waiting tables.

Robin took food and wanted prayer for his friend Jenna.

Moses wanted prayer for a home and thanked us for coming out every week.

Chris has been clean for three years, but has recently started using again. He wanted prayer that he gets clean. He also wanted prayer for his wife, Leslie, to be in good help. And for his daughter, Jessica, that she won’t follow in his footsteps.

Let It Be wants prayer for safety and peace. Took water and food.

TK donated four bags of clothes and shoes. Two of which we gave out.

Brent was blessed by all the clothes, very thankful and excited to hear about Thursday night dinners and CR.

Liddy was walking the streets to collect recyclables. Was very thirsty and thankful for the water we gave her.

Belkis was pushing a cart, smiling and swearing up a storm. She was thankful for the food bag.

Oshon attends Oasis. He came by to thank us for all that we do and donated money.

Jose begged us not to give up on him and wanted prayer for a better living situation. He was thankful for a blanket, hat and scarf. He got a little aggressive right before we asked him to leave.

Ricardo was thankful for the chocolate and told us dirty jokes.

William was taking donations to “my firend’s place”. Thankful that we keep serving.

Dreyon, a tall skinny Afircan American, in his late twenties took snacks and is excited to check out a service.

Philip took a little of everything and wanted prayer for ten thousand dollars.

Eric from Boston is here comping and took chocolate.

Jake came by and showed us a new painting. He wants prater to get a place that is not shady/ doesn’t want anything in return. Just wants a place where he can do his art.

Jacob took a scarf and a beanie and food. He gave the hat and some of the food back before leaving.

Street Requests 1.24.14

Hey everyone! Our team took to the streets on Friday night and met up with over 60 people! Please be in prayer for them that all of their physical needs will be met but also their spiritual ones.
Matthew 4:4
Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

-Tyrone took a bag and asked for prayer for healing of his dad. Doctors gave him 6 months for his heart he had exceeded the expectations. They are praying for a clean bill of health/heart.
-Suede took some snacks. Missed our team on the street. Took a scarf.
-Saper came from a meeting. Took a toothbrush and a scarf.
-Stanley took some food and asked for prayer for a place to stay.
-Brandon was really thankful for the food.
-Anji twisted her ankle on the corner and had to take a cab home. Please pray for quick healing and peace, as she was pretty shook up.
-Brian asked for prayer for everything.
-Daniel, Brooklyn, and Z received food. Brooklyn asked for prayer for forgiveness for breaking Daniel’s bong.
-Richard was just happy for the conversation.
-a gentleman appeared to be following us, so we gave him some food.
-Lucy received food and asked for prayer for peace on earth.
-Gilbert received food and asked for prayer for his soul.
-“Happy Knuckles, Angry Elbows” received food and asked for prayer that his wife is being taken care of in Heaven.
-Derek and Aaron received food and asked for general prayers throughout the week.
-Our team prayed for Charlene and she was thankful for the food.
-Zero was thankful to receive a scarf.
-Gilbert asked for prayer to be able to get back to Africa to see his family.
-Jay asked for prayer to be able to reconcile with the love of his life.
-Matt and Shaimes asked for prayer for health.
-Samuel received food and asked for prayer for peace and also to find a woman who finds him attractive.
-Twist was thankful for the snacks.
-Mark asked for prayer to find a job and that he will be able to get in contact with his family.
-Shiva conversed with us through writing because he cannot speak. He asked for prayer for inner faith, harmony, and love.
-Walter Baxter was thankful for the food.
-Nate received some food and asked for prayer for direction and mental clarity.
-Stanley was thankful for the food and asked for prayers to be able to find a place to stay.
-Al asked for prayers for blessings.
-Giovanni asked for prayers for his mother who is dying. He was thankful for the snacks.
-Jared’s face lit up when our team approached him and offered him food. He was extremely thankful for the good and the blanket. Our team prayed for God to protect him and to bring provision and blessings. He was even happier to receive a hug.

-Our friend Joe took some food and asked for prayer for protection.
-Skylar asked for prayer for his dead father and also asked for blessings and favor as he pursues his dreams.
-A skateboarder stopped for some water.
-Dean received food and asked for prayer that everything would work out in his life.
-Edgar took some information about the church and asked for prayer for healing from depression.
-Tyler was thankful for the food.
-Vic took some candy and asked for prayer for success in his music career and also for Pastor Rudy, who needs prayer for healing.
-Will asked for general prayers and was thankful for the bag. He came to the table to find the person on the team that he has seen for the past 3 weeks.
-Chandler and Willy asked for general prayers and guidance to overcome their obstacles.
-Julia asked for prayer that her new roommate’s nerves would be calm and that all will go smoothly.
-“Elmo” asked for prayer for a better job. He said he loves the joy that he brings to people but he needs money.

-Eva received some water and asked for prayer for her sore throat.
-Cora asked for prayer for protection and provision. She was thankful for the snacks and the conversation.

Street Prayers 1.10.14

Hello again, everyone!

I really can’t express enough how much your continued prayers mean to our team and for the people that we come in contact with each week. Your prayers and support are two BIG reasons why we are able to do this each week.

Our team came in contact with about 45 people this past Friday night. Please take a look into some of their stories below and join us in praying for them.

Matthew 18:19

“Again, I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.”

-Our team met Wyatt from Colorado. He didn’t want any food but was happy to chat. He shared that he was having a really good day.

-Daniel looked quite dapper in his suit and was happy to receive some food.

-Joshua was thankful for the food.

-“Scoobydoo” was eating some food that was being served down the street and so he didn’t want any food.

-Marcell also didn’t want any food but was happy to chat and told us that everything is going well.

-Anthony seemed a bit out of sorts and didn’t want any food.

-Patrick was grateful for the toothbrush because he hasn’t been able to brush his teeth in about a week. He said that he is expecting some money from his dad.

-A gentleman whom our team came in contact with last week received some food. Please pray for safety and for Jesus to work in his heart and in his life.

-Rick asked for general prayers throughout the week.

-William Baxter was waiting for the bus to take him to work. Our team gave him some water and chatted with him. He is from the Philippines. He has seen us before and was thankful for what we do.

-“Four” stopped us and asked for water.

-Achilles was asking for money but was thankful for the food we gave him.

-Justin accepted a bag of food and asked for mostly general prayer and especially for “favor with the ladies.”

-Amy was thankful for the food and at first seemed reluctant to speak with us. She warmed up to us as we spoke to Gabriel and Larry.

-Larry received a bag and offered to pray for us!

-Gabriel is in a wheelchair and recently left a convalescent home and is now on the streets. He is waiting for his SSI but has no way to go and see his lawyer. Please pray for a way for him to get to his lawyer so that he can get the money that he is due and so he can get off the streets. Please also pray healing in his body and for him to be able to stay warm even on the cold nights. He has metal rods in his legs and so the cold is very painful for him.

-Darren and Will both received some food and Darren told us that he has been attending a local church. Will was very withdrawn but graciously took the food.

-Our team left a bag of food for a gentleman sleeping on some stairs.

-Jaguar, Skywalker, and their two cats were playing guitar on the corner. They accepted some food and asked for general prayers.

-A gentleman stopped and was really excited to talk to our team. We didn’t catch his name and he didn’t want any food but he was really friendly!

-Anthony was really excited for the socks.

-Joe was playing an awesome guitar with pink strings. Our team prayed for protection from the enemy, for health, romance, and success (emphasis on the romance). We gave him a Bible and referred him to Psalm 91.

-Our team stopped Will and asked him if he wanted some food. At first he declined and then raced back up to us and asked what we had. He graciously took some food and was happy to chat.

-Noah is from France and was really thankful for the food we gave him. He encouraged us to not lose our faith!

-Lloyd and Arden were thankful for the food.

-Amber asked for prayer for everyone’s safety.

-A very quiet gentleman took some snacks.

-Cheko was thankful for the socks and asked us to just keep him in our prayers.

-One of the street performers was thankful for the water.

-Spike was thankful for the food and the blanket.

– Gio received a bag and asked for prayer for his dying mother.

-Mike was happy to receive a bag.

-Maria is in her 70’s and is struggling to pay her rent. She can’t get a job because of her age and that she is not a citizen. Our team gave her some food and the list of food banks in the area.

-Baby and her dog Buddy were thankful for the food. She asked for general prayers and specifically for her husband who is in jail.

-Giovanni was a bit shy but opened up when we invited him up to the table. He was thankful for the food and asked for prayers for safety.

-Alex stopped by to chat and take some snacks.

-On the way to the car our team met Drew. He was thankful for the food.

-Franklin was relaxing on some stairs. He was thankful for the food and for the prayers that our team offered. Please keep him in your prayers this week.

-Gave some food to two men sleeping in doorways.

-James was thankful for the food and prayers.

-Our friend Mike was in his usual spot and was happy to see us. He was thankful for the food.

-Our friend Jose was in good spirits. He received food and prayer. Please continue to pay for his finances and for his family in Peru.

-Jake was happy as always to see us. He received some food, a blanket, and prayer,

-Lee was thankful for the food.

Street Prayer Request 1.3.14

Hey awesome people! This Friday was our monthly open outreach so our team took to the streets of Hollywood with some awesome guests! Below are some of the stories that we encountered:

 Isaiah 55:6

“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near”

-Jake was wearing his angel wings and was grateful as usual for the food. He asked for prayer for Hollywood Blvd. He also asked for prayer against any more obstacles that will keep him from coming to church and for the food lines that may be closed down due to the city building condos in the area.

-Tyler and Lizzie stopped by and asked for water. Lizzie asked for prayer for her school journey here in LA.

-Ryan took a bottle of water and asked for prayer for his brother Brent to stay on the right path and that he can continue to be a good brother.

-Philip was grateful for the food and water. Please pray for his safety on the streets.

-James and Eddie were very thankful for the food and water. Please pray for safety as well.

-“Boombox” and Lexi were very grateful for the food, water, and conversation.

-Rick was thankful for the food and water.

-George was thankful for the food and water and asked for prayers throughout the week.

-Dillon told us that he is a fellow Christian but has walked away from the church. He was very thankful for the food.

-“Twist” and Seville asked for us to pray for a situation involving previous landlords. They were thankful for the food and especially for the socks! They put them on as we were speaking to them.

-Angel and Rob were thankful to see our team and were waiting for us. Angel gave lots of hugs and asked for prayer for his son.

-Dean was thankful for the food and water.

-Our friend Chief took some food and water.

-Peter accepted food and asked for prayer for his aunt.

– George was thankful for the food and asked for prayer for everything.

-Vladimir walked up and asked for general prayer, asked for prayer for growth in his faith because he questions why God allows bad things to happen.

-Alexander was thankful for the blanket and also took some snacks.

-Cora was thankful for food and the bible and asked for prayer for a court matter that will be occurring in March. She was very thankful for the conversation.

-Javier was thankful for the food and water.

-Rose took some food for her sister and mom, we also gave her a treasures bag and a scarf.

– Antoine was grateful for the water.

-Dean and Tom was thankful for the food.

-Sway stopped by to say hi and asked for prayer throughout the week to have a better year and was thankful for the food.

-Moses was thankful for the food and conversation, he asked for prayer for five acres of land to live and grow his own food in peace. He said he really appreciates what we do.

– Stiles was grateful for the food.

-Jess and Kevin each took some food and asked for prayer for good health and safe travels while they move to San Francisco. They were interested in attending church on Sunday.

-Vince was thankful for the food and asked for prayer for health and strength to overcome his temptations.

-Franklin received a blanket and some food, and we prayed with him that a lawsuit against his employer who owes him money would be resolved quickly.

-Our friend Mike received some food and asked for general prayer throughout the week.

-Jose was thankful for the food, we prayed that he would pass a test for a job, for favor with the book he’s working on and for his family in Peru.

-Mike was thankful for the food.

-Zen asked for prayer for everything and was thankful for the food.

-Michael took some food and asked for prayer for his art career.

-Vegas and Stephen received some food, Vegas asked for us to just keep him in prayer.

-Left some food for someone sleeping on the street.

-Brooklyn was thankful for the food and asked for prayer for his friends to be safe.

Street Prayer Requests 12.20.13

Hey everyone! I pray that each of you is having a great holiday season so far! Our team faithfully hit the streets again this past week to pray for and meet some of the needs of the individuals that they came into contact with. Please be praying for these individuals especially during this week!  Merry Christmas!

Isaiah 9:6

“For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”

-Zack and Sam took snacks and asked for safety in their travels back to San Diego; specifically not to get stabbed.

-Styles took some snacks and asked for prayer for healing on his leg after getting into a biking accident.

-Twist was thankful for the snacks.

-Michael was thankful for the food, blanket, and the backpack.

-Christian and Heather requested prayer to be treated right by other people. Heather loved the treasures bag.

-‘Elmo” (aka Raymont) asked for prayer to find a good job.

-Kyle expressed that he was very cold. Our team prayed that he would find warmth and provision.

-Jaunito asked for prayer for a job so that he can get off the streets.

-Javier was thankful for the food.

-Leonard was on his way to the bus but stopped and received prayer.

-Dennis was thankful for the food.

-Gerardo stated that he would like to have a weapon to keep him safe. Our team prayed for his protection.

-Tyrone asked for prayer for his father who is in the hospital with heart problems.

-Ramon asked for prayer for a job and just in general.

-We met a social worker who asked us to pray for a little boy named Daniel that may be getting adopted soon.

-Leo is in between places at the moment and was really thankful for the food.

-Lexo and “Boom” took food and socks and need prayer to get rid of body lice.

-Spike was thankful for the food.

-Mark was thankful for good results on his blood test. He told us that he is still in need of some kind of medicine. He was thankful for the food.

-Angel was feeling very depressed due to having to spend Christmas on the streets. Please pray for peace, joy, and provision.

-William was thankful for the food and the socks.

-William asked for general prayer and God’s blessings.

-John is here for construction work and asked for prayer to be able to stay strong while he is separated from his fiancé.

-Carlos ran to the table and asked for prayer that he will fall in love with God.

-Will was happy to chat with our team.

-Jose was in good spirits. We prayed for his health and gave him some food and a blanket.

-“Dr. Geek” asked for prayer for his health and blessings in his music and writing career. He was thankful for the food.

Street Requests 12.13.13

Hey amazing people! I know I say this every week but I feel that I cannot express how much your continued prayers mean to us and how much they really mean to the people that we encounter on the streets. THANK YOU!!!

Our small but mighty team took to the streets of Hollywood this week. Please keep the following people in your prayers this week.

-Joe asked for prayer for health, wealth, and romance.

 -Blaze was thankful for the food and the socks.

 -Jasmine and Justin are from Seattle. They were thankful for the food.

 -We gave David a bag of food.

 -Teresa and her two daughters, Ruby and Rose were given scarves and gloves. Teresa asked for prayer for provision.

 -Nan was thankful for the food and the gloves. He asked for information about our church food pantry.

 -Alex took some chips and a hat.

 -Fernando took some gloves and chips. He later came back for some snacks and a blanket.

 -Lexus stopped by for some food.

 -Befit took some candy and a bottle of water.

 -Elizabeth stopped by for some wipes, candy and a blanket.

 -Sharva was thankful for the bag of food. She asked for prayer for her ID and for piece of mind.

 -While our team was placing a bag of food next to a sleeping man, another gentleman gave us his business card because he is interested in contributing to our team.

 -Mike was asleep but woke up and thanked us for the food.

 -Gabriel thanked us for the food and asked for prayer to get off the streets.

 -Scott and Alex were also very appreciative for the food. Please pray for safety and provision.

 -Our friend Jake was not in his normal spot and seemed a little down. He asked for prayer for miracles, blessings and for his finances.

 -John Scott just asked for some water.

 -David took some food and a scarf. He asked for prayer for God’s will in his life and protection from the enemy.

 -Johnny stopped by and took some snacks and some hygiene items. He also took a few pieces of candy but not too much because he is diabetic.

 -Vanessa asked for prayer to find a good place away from bad people. She took some food and socks.

 -Nick asked for general prayer and wants to show more love to people.

 -Tay and Jeremy wanted snacks and prayer for everything.

 -Jen and Lexi asked for prayer for body lice to be gone. We gave them food and socks and they sang an original song for us.

Street Prayer Requests 12.6.13

Hey everyone! I cannot express how thankful our team is for your continued prayers each and every week! We are EXTREMELY grateful to everyone who has generously donated their time and resources to help the people that we come in contact with on the streets. I assure you that it DOES make a difference! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

This week was our monthly open outreach. We were pleased to have new faces join us on the streets. Please pray for the people that they encountered!

 -Gio thanked us for our continued prayers because he now has a place to live! He asks for prayers that he can stay positive throughout his struggles.

-Don has only been on the streets for 2 days. He was extremely thankful for the food, socks, and the conversation that our team had with him. Please pray that he is able to find a job and an apartment quickly. Also please be praying for safety and peace.

 -Theresa and her daughters Ruby and Rose each took some food and socks. They asked for continued prayer to find a home.

 -Angel was thankful for the food and that we stopped to speak to him.

 -Carlos was grateful for the food.

 -Alyssa and Howersh were very quiet but were thankful to have something to eat.

 -David was extremely appreciative for the food. He seemed interested in coming to Celebrate Recovery on Thursday night. Our team gave him a card.

 -Johnny let our team pray for him and then he was a blessing by praying for us! He asked for prayer for a house.

 -Willy is a music writer and was thankful for the much needed socks.

 -Rob is new to the streets. He just lost his mother three weeks ago. Please pray that God will comfort him in his time of loss. His younger brother is in foster care in Florida.

 -Sha Ron took some snacks and socks. He used to play drums at our church. Our team prayed for him and then he prayed for us.

 -Our team left some food for a person sleeping on the street.

 -Brandon is only 18. Please pray for safety.

 -Met Twist and Sylvia and asked that we pray for Nelson Mandela.

 -Javier was thankful for the food.

 -Adam was extremely thankful for the new socks! He asked for prayer for safety and survival.

 -Mark asked for prayer to find work soon and that his cancer will not return.

 -Gilbert asked for prayer that he would have a new suit by Sunday for his new job! He was grateful for the food and the hand warmers.

 -Q was very soft spoken. Please pray for him throughout the week for safety, provision, and peace.

 -Gabriel asked for prayer that he would be able to get to Africa to see his mother. He was very grateful for the food and water.

 -Steve just wants general prayers throughout the week. He has been living in his car for 14 years. He asked for prayer for provision to get an apartment.

 -Chief just finished his finals to be a Drug and Alcohol Counselor. He has been sober for 4 years!!

 -Zach is from KY and has only been here for a week. Our team gave him some food and a scarf.

 -Daniel wants prayer throughout the week that he and his pet mouse can find a safe and warm place to live.

 -Jack asked that we pray for provision.

 -Michael asked for prayer for safe travels  and for the safety of his sons.

 -Bishop and Ivy asked for prayer for their family.

 -Tom asked for prayer for serenity.

 -Joseph asked for prayer for his kids and his mom and that he would be reunited with them soon.
